North Beach Students Demonstrate Compassion for Those in Need

There is a lot to smile about and be thankful for this holiday season. Students from the North Beach School District have once again lent a hand in raising money and food donations for the Ocean Shores Food Bank. While these donations will go a long way toward ensuring that “no one in our community goes hungry,” it is also worth noticing that the young people in our community are learning the lesson of giving and compassion for those in need.

Our community is a group of people, from school age to octogenarians who not only care about each other, but act on their concern for their neighbor. Students collected and donated $5196 and nearly 650 lbs. of nonperishable food for our community food bank. We couldn’t be happier. And yes, beneath those masks, there are smiles all around.
